Over a Century of Brotherhood: The Story of Lodge Toowoomba 132h

Welcome to Lodge Toowoomba 132h. This page is dedicated to a monthly blog where we explore topics related to Freemasonry in general, as well as insights specific to our lodge.

Lodge Toowoomba 132h proudly celebrates its 120th anniversary. Originally consecrated as Lodge Toowoomba 38Q on Friday, 12th October 1900, at 7:30 pm, the lodge was established with a mission to serve as a living center, radiating genuine light and knowledge. At the consecration, Rt. Wor. Bro. Hutton addressed nearly forty Brethren, along with nine Grand Lodge Officers from Brisbane, emphasizing that the lodge would extend the blessings of Masonic teachings, fostering goodness and benefiting all.

On 5th November 1921, Toowoomba Lodge 38 transitioned from its original charter issued by the Grand Lodge of Ireland to a new charter under the United Grand Lodge of Queensland, and was subsequently renamed Lodge Toowoomba 132 U.G.L.Q.

As we reflect on our own history, we also join in celebrating the tricentenary of the Grand Lodge of Ireland, marking 300 years of Masonic heritage and influence. This milestone highlights the enduring legacy and global impact of Freemasonry, a tradition to which our lodge proudly contributes.
